Episode 71 is all about the mindset of creativity. We are joined by Nancy Trieu, an expert in creating content. She will also join Grant and Bernard in their "Meet the Brand-parents" workshop in September.
When it comes to branding, as per Nancy, she is not the typical photographer/ filmmaker who just comes in, snaps it and disappears. She also does image consulting. One of the key things in having a brand and creating your content online is finding what is unique to you.
When it comes to your content, explore. Choose a colour that represents you. Remember that everything transitions. Everything changes, and it is transitioning. Even with Bite-Sized Branding, developing the show's maturity took time. If you aim for authenticity, you should not expect something perfect on the first run.
If you are not confident in doing it yourself, find someone to do it for you. There are so many out there who can do the content for you. There are instances where you can get stuck. Collaboration provides more ideas.
You can start by writing a table of contents. You can use a phone and record everything you say and everything around you. You can get random ideas as you go for a walk. Having a mood board can also help. You can gather pictures that you are drawn towards. Pre-panning is crucial because it can fill in the slots of your writer's block. Decide on what direction you are going to take.
What is the audience you want to go for? How long is your content going to be? What medium do you want to put it on? Authenticity and representing the real you are also essential. You are not going to attract all audiences. If you are a quiet and calm person, that would be the type of audience you will attract. If you are exuberant and loud, the same kind of people will be your followers.
