What's going on with Google, and how are they adapting after the First Party Data Policy rollout? How is that affecting SEO and the rollout of GA4 or Google X4?

The released core update is considered a good update, as per George, as this focuses more on de-ranking and removing guys on page one who have built their google profiles using third-party sites with low domain authority. It also focuses on those weak sites or ones that have created 20 to 30 sites with very thin content with articles no bigger than four or five hundred terms. 

These sites will be de-ranked, and the best step to take is to wait it out and see where they land and take it from there.  Belonging to the top four in google results gives a forty to fifty per cent lift in profit, conversions and traffic. This is why everyone tries to reach the top because of the vast competition. Doing it organically takes time. 

Because of this, some experts try to cheat and work their way to the top. In return, Google counters by writing algorithms that filter out all the nonsense and just leave what should be there in the first place or authentic websites. 


What is happening with Facebook?

Facebook is just overcoming the issues that Google gives them. Facebook has opened up a little bit and created a marketing place with a low price. They went to the extent where you can find the good marketers and the not-so-good ones separated. 

Using browser cookies will not give you real data or conversion since you rely on the browser. There could be adblockers or several different things. But using Facebook API, it will go directly to your web server. Your website can now be integrated with Facebook or any other platform you can use as a marketing tool. 

 

What should small businesses do to get the bang for their buck?

For small businesses, it is best if they start with local traffic. It doesn't matter if you use organic or Facebook or any platform. What is important is to profile what you are trying to do, run your KPI and then see which platform brings the best traffic. Not all marketers are marketers since not everyone is equal. 
Not everyone has the same skillset, nor does everyone has 30 to 40 years of experience under their sleeves. 

Facebook can be a promising avenue since it has the cheapest Ad space. It provides an easy way to change copy, image or landing page and see instant results for low buying. They do not claim a plan that works, but they can have something to show the data and everything else running in your business marketing.

Marketing a business is a very tricky task, both on a small and large scale. What is important is that you are willing to try all avenues to see which one works for you. Technology is developing, and more platforms are available for you to use. Take advantage of what you have and take it from there.
